PSIN, KOICA CONSOLIDATES EXISTING PARTNERSHIP.

The Administrator/Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo received the representative of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Nigeria Office and the Country Director Mr. Woochan Chang in his office.
Dr. Obatoyinbo informed the visitors that the recent completion and hand over of the e-government project by the Korean International Cooperation agency (KOICA) has re-engineered the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, in realising its mandate of providing competency-based and demand driven capacity building to Public Servants.

He further said that the establishment of the e-government facility will not only provide Public Servants, easy access to information but will equip them to become an Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible, and Citizen-Centre Cultured (EPIC) Public Servants.
He commended KOICA for their immense contribution to the growth and sustenance of the e-government projects in Nigeria, particularly through their various capacity building programmes. He however solicited for more support from the Korean Government.
In his response, the Korea International Cooperation Agency Country Director, Mr Woochan Chang, identified e-government as a tool for national development. He stated that capacity building programme on e-Government played a pivotal role in the bilateral relationship between the governments of Korea and Nigeria. Korea, he said, has been sharing experience and assisting Nigeria’s move to create a master plan for e-government and sponsoring high-level workshops to strengthen human capacity and training.

He assured that Korea will continue to support Nigeria in its endeavour to utilise ICT technologies and its abundant human resources for the development of the nation and attainment of greatness.
