ADMINISTRATOR LAUDS PPPRA FOR EMBRACING CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME


The Administrator/ Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria, Dr Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo mni, has called on Participants from the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) to effectively utilise the training opportunity made available to them by their organisation, to be Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible, Citizen Centred in realisation of the desired transformation in the oil sector for national development.

Dr. Obatoyinbo made this known at the opening session of the on-going 2021 Refresher Course and Examination Programme held at the Institute, in Abuja. He admonished participants to be focussed and appreciate the training not only as a promotion exercise but also as a capacity building exercise that will further enhance their competency and skills as well as improve their job performances.

He urged participants to make the class interactive; he noted that it is an adult class where all answer to questions are correct depending on individual perspective. He advised them to network and established a lasting relationship that goes beyond PSIN.

He commended the General Manager Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Mr. Victor Zamani Shidok for his unflinching support and commitment to capacity building of staff. He assured the general Manager that Public Service Institute of Nigeria remains an Institute for developing and enhancing capacity of the generality of the public servants, in line with the demands and needs of modern day public service.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Secretary Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Abdulkadir Saidu Umar, ably represented by the General Manager PPPRA Mr Victor Zamani Shadow, acknowledged the mandate of the institute as a government outfit, which provides quality training and learning services to the public in an honest and transparent manner. He lauded the Institute for maintaining integrity as its watchword. He urged the officers from the agency to prove that the Institute’s enhanced competence training has an added value by striving to excel in their promotion examination.
