The Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo has advocated for a well focused training programme to enhance managerial capabilities in the public service.
Dr. Obatoyinbo, said this at a one-day workshop for Departmental Training Officers (DTOs) on the Application of Induction Tool/Kit for Induction Training Programmes in the MDAs organised by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF). The
Administrator who was represented by the Director Programme Mrs. Bola Thomas, said that there is ongoing organisational restructuring and infrastructural upgrade at the Institute aimed at repositioning to deliver effective and efficient service to clients in line with the Strategic Plan of the HOS and the Enterprise Culture and Commercial Orientation.
The Head of Civil Service of the Federal, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita who declared the workshop open said that the workshop is meant to acquaint the DTOs with adequate knowledge in the conduct of In-house Induction Programme in the various ministries.
The Head of Service added that the workshop is a process towards the realisation of the Federal Civil Service Strategy Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) aimed at transforming the Service to be Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen-Centred (EPIC).
The workshop was organised by the Office of Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) in collaboration with PERL-DFID.
