The Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) is the premier federal institution dedicated to transforming the nation’s public service through world-class learning, research, and organizational development. Our Core Mandate

1. Capacity Building and Executive Training

PSIN designs and delivers high-impact learning programmes that develop competent, accountable, and future-ready public servants. Through executive education, leadership academies, specialized courses, andcompetency-based training, the Institute empowers officers at all levels to enhance their professionalism andeffectiveness in service delivery.

2. Public Service Research and Knowledge Development

The Institute advances evidence-based governance by conducting research, policy analysis, and applied studies on issues affecting public administration in Nigeria. PSIN serves as a knowledge hub—documenting best practices, generating insights, and supporting innovation within ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

3. Organisational Development and Institutional Strengthening

PSIN supports federal and state institutions in improving their internal systems, structures, and workforce performance. Through diagnostics, advisory services, re-design processes, and tailored interventions, the Institute helps organizations build efficiency, pursue reform, and align with global public management standards.

4. Digital Transformation and E-Governance Competencies
