PSIN CONDUCTS CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME FOR STAFF OF OFFICE OF THE HEAD OF CIVIL SERVICE OF THE FEDERATION

The Capacity Building Training Program organized by the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) for the staff of the office of the Head of the Civil Service of The Federation (OHCSF) commenced on the 16th of June 2020 with 474 participants in attendance.

Addressing the participants during the opening session, the Administrator/CEO Public Service Institute of Nigeria Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo commended the Head of Civil Service of the Federation Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan for her commitment in ensuring that capacity building is given the right attention in the Civil Service. He noted that the capacity building will transform the Service into an Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen- Centred (EPIC).

Dr. Obatoyinbo advised the participants to take the training very serious as it has direct bearing on their personal development as well as national development. He further admonished the participants to make the most use of the training by networking and building personal relationship with one another.

Speaking at the opening session, the Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office (CSO) Mr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, said the training is aimed at among other goals to build a modern Public Service organisation that provides world class service for sustainable National Development.

He assured that the training will equip Civil Servants with the basic skills and knowledge needed to discharge their duties in a more professional, knowledgeable, competitive and effective manner. He further assured that the outcome of the training will support the Economic recovery and growth Plan of the Federal Government in the area of Civil Service Transformation.
