PSIN & OAGF TO COLLABORATE ON E-LEARNING PLATFORM
The Administrator, Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo has called for stronger partnership between the Institute and the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, particularly in the area of e- learning platform, “The Public Service Learning Management System” (PSLMS). A Multi-Tenant Learning Management System that allow simultaneous delivery of online training to over a million users globally.
Dr. Obatoyinbo made this call during a courtesy and follow-up visit to the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) Ahmed Idris. The Administrator congratulated him on his recent re-appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He informed the AGF that the e-learning platform is one of the most important and effective methods to bring capacity building to the door steps of the Public Servants, at minimal cost.
He further stated that in Public Service Institute of Nigeria, trainings are aimed at developing and enhancing capacity of the generality of the public servants by continuously engaging in modernizing management, in line with the demands and needs of modern day Public Service as well as raising them to imbibe the culture of being Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen-Centered (EPIC).
The Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, in his response expressed appreciation to the Administrator and noted that he could not have chosen a better time to visit. He said he believes strongly in training and re-training of staff, he however assured that his office (OAGF)will key into the e-learning platform “Public Service Learning Management System”( PSLMS), adding that himself will also join the first batch to take an on-line course on the platform.
