STAKEHOLDERS INCEPTION MEETING FOR THE PSIN SFTAS CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
The States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) Programme is a World Bank assisted programme aimed at strengthening the institutional delivery capacity of the states through capacity building, fundamentally in Public Financial Management (PFM) and Open Government Principles (OGP).
The Administrator Chief Executive Officer, PSIN Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyinbo while addressing the stakeholders from the Implementing Agencies namely, the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Project Coordination Unit (PCU), Debt Management Office (DMO) Open Government Partnership (OGP), Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) and Partners from the World Bank and the Nigerian Governors Forum(NGF), hinted that the choice of engaging the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), in the curriculum development for SFTAS is strictly based on their unbeatable track records of demonstrable capacity to deliver on the expectations of the project.
He admonished stakeholders to work assiduously in ensuring timely delivery of a standardized curricular, aimed at strengthening the institutional delivery capacity of the key state functionaries, to be drawn from focal agencies across the 36 States of the Federation including Federal Capital Territory.
